Eotyrannus

Eotyrannus lived during the Middle Cretaceous period in England. This early tyrannosaurid was probably 4 meters long. But it is believed that it is only subadult or a juvenile. The adult possibly was even larger. I think the adult Eotyrannus was about 7-8 meters long. The name of this predator means "early tyrant", or "dawn tyrant".

A 40-percent complete fossil was found in 1997 by Darren Naish. This predator was close relative to T-rex but it had the most unusual feature of all tyrannosaurids. It had the longest hands among all non-avian theropods (proportionally). Iguanodon and Hypsilophodon were also found in England. Eotyrannus probably preyed on them.
