Carcharodontosaurus had enormous jaws (1.75 m long) with long serrated teeth. Scientists thought that Carcharodontosaurus had the largest skull but then they found bigger skull. Its owner was close relative to Carcharodontosaurus, Giganotosaurus. This carnivorous theropod was first identified from two teeth found by Charles Deperet and J. Savornin at the African Continental intercalaire in Algeria , North Africa , in 1927. However, these were lost before the dinosaur could be fully described.
It was certainly well equipped for the role of active predator. It preyed for large sauropods such as Paralititan as well as on medium sized hadrosaurus such as Uranosaurus. There wasn't only one predator. Deltadromeus and Rugops were medium sized theropods that probably hunted in packs. But the really threat for Carcharodontosaurus was Spinosaurus that preyed on the same animals.
