Bactrosaurus





Bactrosaurus is a genus of hadrosaurs dinosaurs from China that lived 70 million years ago. Bactrosaurus is one of the best known of hadrosaurus.Bactrosaurus could reach 6 meters long and 2 meters high when standing on all fours. It was 1.5 tons weight.


It was an early relative of Lambeosaurus, and shows a number of iguanodont-like features, including three stacked teeth for each visible tooth, small maxillary teeth, and an unusually powerful build for a hadrosaur.   

It shows features intermediate between those of the two main hadrosaurid groups
The first remains of this genus were foud in the Gobi Desert. There were found six skeletons. Charles W. Gilmore named this animal Bactrosaurus, or "club lizard".
